Organisation for Security and Co operation in Europe Spill over monitor Mission to Skopje

Supported by the Rule of Law Department during OSCE's Mission in Skopje and the Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA) the implementation of the pilot-project “Countrywide Observation of the Implementation of International Fair Trial Standards in Domestic Courts and Assessment of the Functioning of the Judiciary in the Republic of Macedonia” was initiated.

The judiciary proceedings' observation in the Basic Courts as an integral part of the pilot-project started in July 2003 and lasted until September 2003.

Since October until December 2003, the OSCE's Rule of Law Department provided financial support for continuation of the Coalition's activities i.e. the observing process.

In December that same year, the Canadian Embassy in Skopje approved financial resources for provision of office equipment.


In February 2004, the Coalition signed a contract for cooperation with OSCE's Mission in Skopje, as well as a contract for a grant with the Open Society Foundation Institute-Macedonia.

In June 2004 workshop realization on the topic: “Strategic planning” and organising an advanced workshop on the topic: “Art. 6 from the European Convention on Human Rights” has provided by OSCE Mission in Skopje and Council of Europe.
